Rearward facing is the safest position for babies and young children as it gives them support all over their back and head in case of a sudden stop or even an accident. According the European Standard EN-129 it is mandatory that children should sit rearward facing up to 15 months of age. However it is recommended to keep this position for as long as possible. Below you will find several models of car seats with different age groups. Most of them are from birth – 4 years which means they have rear- and forward facing positions. Some models are only forward facing which means they are suitable from 15 months.
